This wonderful crew is back! Earlier this summer I got to once again photograph my sister’s family, and WOW do they look grown up. Something distinct changes for photo sessions when the youngest reaches age 5. It’s got such a different feel. I’m a real big fan of all the color in their session, amplified by the absolute downpour that took place as we drove to our spot. It kind of came out of nowhere, so we waited for it to let up and forged ahead with photos during the one-hour break in the storm. Kind of perfect, if you ask me!

Fun fact: Levi is my birthday buddy! There is no end to the mischievous gleam in his eyes, and I mean that quite literally. He is creative, super smart and looking for fun around every corner.

Will was downright awesome to photograph – following each little direction I gave him as we did his portraits, and smiling that genuine grin the whole time. He is so confident, driven and full of ideas. It sometimes feels like I can see actual wheels turning in his head as he considers how to plan his next epic adventure.

Sunshine yellow is perfect for this sunny girl. I love her smile, her giggle, and her hugs. Maryn delights in all things “cute” and loves to laugh. I can’t wait to see where her one-of-a-kind personality takes her future.

Molly and Steve, your family is full of fun and life. Thank you for trusting me with your photos again, and for dealing with my second-time asking you to do a session basically in the rain. I appreciate you so very much. Love you!
