The way your heart changes and moves with the addition of a new baby is something totally unique. You prepare and wonder for nine hard-earned months. You meet this itty-bitty person you never knew you couldn’t live without. The waves upon waves of love don’t let up, your world is turned completely upside down, and it’s the most sleepless, beautiful, treasured time ever. If there’s a season of life to document, it’s this one.
Once baby is born, I will arrange a time to come to your home for the Newborn Session, ideally within 10 days of birth.
The ideal timeframe is between 30-34 weeks along. During this window, women are usually “showing” considerably, but not yet too uncomfortable. It can be scheduled outside this timeframe if necessary. Maternity sessions may take place outdoors/on-location, or at your home.

DO IT! If you're pregnant and wondering if you want maternity photos, stop wondering and book a session with Jenny. She made the session feel like a fun, relaxed date with my husband. Even with a big belly to contend with, the photos from our maternity session are some of my all-time favorites of myself. Somehow Jenny was able to make me look glamorous, belly and all. My husband, who really isn't into getting his picture taken, left our time with Jenny saying "That was fun!" We have had Jenny photograph our family four different times now, and can't say enough about how much we love her (both working with her and the end product). Two of those sessions were newborn shoots when each of our children were just two weeks old. Those first weeks are such a haze of exhaustion and usually the last thing we felt like doing was taking pictures, but Jenny made it as easy as possible for us and we will treasure those pictures forever. She has two children of her own and was especially excellent with our 3-year-old daughter. She made her feel special and comfortable in a time of a lot of transition for her!
