the petersens & morrises

Welcome back, Morris fam, Sandi and Kipp! Gosh, it’s good to see your faces around here. All I will say in prelude to this session is that it was special. Incredibly special. Get in a photo with your precious people, friends. You will thank yourself for that. I cannot wait to share the magic of the beautiful evening we spent taking photos of this crew, so I’ll get on with it.

Three generations of a family pose outside a brick campus building, with two grandparents, two parents, and two children smiling at the camera.

My mind keeps stubbornly refusing to reconcile with the dang maturity of the kids in this photo. They cannot be so grown up and poised, yet here we are! Nora and Jonah, you are some of my favorites!

Come on! For that taste of bittersweetness that they’ve left “little kid” years behind, there’s lots of delighting in who these two are becoming. Both of them are kind, generous, capable and have great senses of humor.

We love Nana and Kippy! These two are the kind of grandparents you count yourself lucky to have. It was a gift to have them here and get them in on the photo action.

Nora, you simply glow with kindness and joy. Knowing your parents as I do, it’s no surprise that you’re the kind of person I’d jump to be friends with. I love how easily you laugh and that you are up for anything. You are thoughtful, loyal and have such a sweet heart for others.

Jonah’s enthusiasm for photos made my heart squeeze! This handsome kid is one of a kind. He has loads of creativity and ideas, and just such a great, laid-back approach to life. He’s easy to be with and nice to his sister – basically five stars in my book! Jonah, I love your confidence!

Thank you, Petersens & Morrises for spending this time with me. Your family – these three generations of incredible people – is a gift to many! Grateful for you all.
