emery

class of 2027

Pure joy! That’s what it was to work with this stunning lady. I have had the pleasure of knowing Emery since she was little, and have witnessed her grow up into such a remarkable person. She is a treasure, loved by so many people, and we’ve both been looking forward to her senior session for some time. She simply stunned – even beyond expectations, which were high – and we had unfair amounts of fun. Let’s get to it!

This pure, genuine smile of hers is what I keep coming back to. She’s absolutely gorgeous, but what makes her that way is something on the inside that comes through in her eyes when she smiles that way.

Ah! I caught my breath the first time I looked through these. Bold, dramatic, and classy, yet always simple and sweet. Emery is all of these things. 🙂

We made a stop at UNL’s campus, where Emery will attend classes starting next year. She is so very ready! I have no trouble at all picturing her here.

Something about this image on the right – if I were FORCED to pick a favorite from the entire session, I think this is it (by the slimmest of margins with all the rest being my second favorite. Ha!).

Of course, there was dance. We couldn’t pay homage to all her hard work and accomplishments and leave this out – it’s such a huge part of her life. Emery spends hours each week at her local studio both taking and assistant teaching classes, creating and expressing this art with breathtaking skill and heart. It’s her passion and wow, was it fun to catch some stills of her truly in her element.

Amazing!

Sunken Gardens was the perfect spot to end the evening, surrounding this beauty with lush florals and whimsical garden paths. Emery, I can’t say it enough – you are so beautiful!

Emery, photographing you is a sweet honor – you have so much to look forward to in the coming year and beyond, and I’m so excited for you to experience it all! May it be as epic as possible. 🙂 Grateful to celebrate who you are through these photos!
