Hey, hey, the McElravys are back! These three are patiently waiting for the arrival of their new family member! He is super loved already, and it’s clear he will be welcomed with so much excitement and affection.

While it’s rather hard for me to believe that Harriet is already three, going on four, she made sure I didn’t misappropriate her age in the other direction by introducing herself upon arrival to photos with, “Hi! I’m a KID!” A darn cute one, too. Starting a Saturday off hanging out with her was like waking up to rainbows. 🙂

On the right, we caught her “excited” smile and it seems to perfectly sum up this season of anticipating big-sisterhood.

My absolute favorite thing about photographing maternity sessions as family sessions is celebrating how a family is when you know everything is about to change. So often life’s twists and turns surprise us, but when you know change is coming, it’s the perfect opportunity to savor every detail of the present season.
