what i've been up to

This post probably should’ve gone up Monday, but my site was down. Thanks GoDaddy! Anyhow, my weekend was the most productive I’ve had in a long time, which incidentally means it wasn’t too restful. Sometimes you have to choose one or the other. As tired as I was Monday, it felt good to spend the weekend checking some major to-dos off my list, and they gave me a lot of satisfaction. Saturday, I began what I’m sure will be a complicated project of reupholstering some chairs I scored at a garage sale for $5 a piece. It was totally gross pulling one apart (think nasty filling that I’m sure had been the home to a host of animals and bugs in somebody’s garage), but really empowering at the same time. Now I just have to figure out how to put it back together.

And Sunday, I split the day between the grocery store and my kitchen, cooking up a very special dinner. More to come on both these projects, but I wanted to share what I’ve been up to! How about you? What has inspired you lately?
