I have such a special session to share today! Let me start with full transparency: it’s not every day I get to photograph a couple in Steve & Cindy’s stage of life. I spend a lot of time running around with little kids, capturing the super high energy and playfulness of young families. So when Cindy called me up and explained what she was looking for, I felt a deep sense of respect and responsibility for these photos. It was a total gift to spend time with these two. Just them. Being totally how they are together. Celebrating a beautiful season of their life.

My marriage goals look a lot like this. 🙂

I asked them how long it had been since they’d been professionally photographed. A while, they said with a smile. You would NEVER know it. Aren’t they lovely? (As a total sidenote, everyone should visit a greenhouse in March. It is just good for your soul.)

If you have followed my blog for any amount of time, then you already know this image on the right is my favorite from the morning. I tend to gravitate toward the ones that seem to sum up relationships in a nutshell. Cindy, if you print only one image – let it be this one. Just my 2¢.
