the orton family
Sometimes blogging completely takes a backseat to other things, and while I may be oh, almost a *year* late for this one, that doesn’t make it any less special. In fact, its personal nature probably has something to do with my putting it off – wanting to do it justice and not just quickly check it off my list of to-dos. This is my sister’s family, for goodness sake! If you’ve read my posts with even a bit of regularity, I’m sure that isn’t news to you.

Is it just me? Or can you tell these children feel that little bit extra liberty to be themselves when their aunt’s behind the camera? I sure hope that’s true. This image has remained my favorite from this session. You know I love a photo I can hear!

Levi doesn’t stop moving for just about anything, so you’ve got to be ready when he flashes that grin! I believe those two front teeth fell out just hours before pictures. 😀 His energy, his jokes, his animated nature is always cranked up to full blast. He’s the definite life of the party!

Will impresses me more and more each year. He’s had a literal lifetime of me snapping pictures of him, and dang if he doesn’t look like he’s posing for senior pics in this one! Eleven was a dang fun age to capture him in – so very grown up and still such a wild kid at heart.

Will’s pose in this one just about kills me!

Hello, sunshine! Maryn quite literally sparkles for the camera. She has ladylike poise in the same measure as her grit and the ability to hold her own with two rowdy brothers. It’s always a mystery which side she’ll put on display. 🙂 I love that Maryn doesn’t back down from a challenge, and loves to laugh.

Second favorite image from that gorgeous evening.

Molly and Steve, thank you for trusting me with your family photos, showing up able to laugh at the (controlled) chaos and letting your family’s personality shine. Love you guys!
