the hassler family

Oh, these dear, dear friends of mine are back for another good time on the blog! It’s a dang party each time I get to photograph this crew. I wouldn’t change a thing about it!

Chris and Zeljka have the most natural, lived-in, well-worn comfort with one another. They are absolutely perfect together.

It’s really an honor to still get to capture bits of Sam’s personality in photos after so many years. He is absolutely one-of-a-kind, has always had the most fascinating interests, and can probably make the craziest facial expressions of any kid I’ve photographed. 🙂 He’s a delight.

In Eli, I see direct links to some of his parents’ wonderful traits (like his mom’s sense of humor and his dad’s easy-going nature). He is so much fun, gives Sam a run for his money in their sibling rivalries, and is altogether charming.

Seeing you was a highlight of my year, Hasslers! Thanks for all the laughs. Next time, I fully expect Sam to be taller than at least one of the adults in the fam. 😉 See you then!
