I realize in-home newborn sessions tend to look very peaceful and serene – even ethereal. There’s a reason for that – when you freeze time during a season of such heightened emotions and tenderness with a precious new baby in the spotlight, that tends to be the result. Believe me, this session had all of that going on. But it was also a lot of FUN, a little exciting thanks to an epic (yet manageable) spit-up incident, and full of laughter. Abby and Matt have a house full of beauty, grace, humor and love, to be sure.

Beautiful boy! I fell hard for baby Hudson. He has the best yawns, strong feelings about food, and snuggled and slept with his eyebrows knit as if trying to solve problems in his dreams.

Guys, he is so, so, SO very handsome.

Abby and Matt are clearly taking in all the new wonder and challenges of parenting with the best attitude. They are already amazing at it. How is this their first child?

The looks on both mom’s and dad’s faces when looking at their boy – simply beautiful.

Abby and Matt, thank you so much for sharing Hudson with me for a morning. He’s in the best hands with you two, and I was delighted to get to meet him and take in all his awesomeness. Cheers to this new chapter in your family’s life!
