the hunt family
welcome eli!Get your cute-people-admiration-goggles on, because this family is maxing out the adorable scale! Newborn sessions – let’s talk about ’em. I walk in the door and it’s like time stops – nobody is in a hurry, everyone is on a tiny human’s brand new schedule, and there’s a LOT of love flowing around. But, there’s also a whole lot of adjusting going on, and that is a real, real thing. They don’t always feel as relaxed and scenic as the images portray. But that’s kind of the best part about these sessions. My job is to get in there and capture the gorgeous, dreamy moments that are ACTUALLY HAPPENING in the midst of exhaustion and helplessness, that you might be too tired to even see. And dang, does that feel good to show a family a reflection of the loveliness in their midst! It’s like hey, look! You’re doing it! It’s amazing! And these guys are doing it. They’re doing it SO good. 🙂
See that sweet, squishy bundle of perfection in the stripes? That’s baby Eli. He is amazing, and he is currently being smothered in love. This look is everything. All I can see is how proud he is of her. Here’s Eli in all his glory, selling tickets to the gun show. This is one of my favorite photos of a mother with her new baby I’ve ever taken. Jennifer, you are such a beauty! Please print this, please please please. Amelia is filling her big sister role so beautifully. (And golly, she’s so darn cute!) I’m so excited for her, and all the fun that’s in store as Eli grows up. She probably has no idea how great it will be yet, but she’s starting to get the idea. What a beautiful season. Love. Oh, Amelia, you pretty, pretty girl! If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I’m a sucker for babies in their daddy’s arms, so this one qualifies as another favorite. 🙂
Enjoy this crazy transitional season of welcoming Eli, guys. Thank you so much for welcoming me into it. I’m wishing you all the happy feels with your perfect little guy!
