the hall family
welcome emily & porter!Last fall, after a really fun, laid-back session with this family, a glowing Elizabeth told me that in the spring, I’d get to photograph their twins. TWINS. I think next to the two of them, and possibly a few family members, I was the next most excited about their news. 😉 Fast forward just a short nine months (right, Elizabeth?) and here they are, two unbelievably precious babies to bring this family’s total up to FIVE! Welcome to the world, Emily & Porter!
Oh. And they have the world’s sweetest big sis. (You’ve met before: here and here). I’ve known Elizabeth for a few years now, and she is one of those people who starts out as a client and becomes a friend. She is an amazing mama, and it makes my heart SO happy seeing her with these two new ones to love.
This is Emily. She stared at me with those deep eyes nearly the entire time I was with her, and I was mesmerized. So stunning, and a striking resemblance to her mom. And this one’s such a chill little dude. Meet little brother Porter, a mini of his daddy! Twins are fascinating. They are actually quite hilarious to photograph. I just kept saying “so many limbs”! I loosely put them together like this, but their identical hand gestures – that was all them!
Ariadne had a continuous, proud smile on her face, and was altogether gentle, sweet and watchful over the babies. She’s not even three, and I think she has a lifetime of caring deeply for her siblings in her future.
Her big smile + their little noses resting on her shoulders – I adore this one! 🙂 Ari nailed it, and I was so proud of her – not easy for a toddler!! Dave, I firmly believe you were hand-picked to be a twin dad. You are gracious, always smiling, fun and goofy, and soft-hearted. These three kiddos (and Elizabeth) are so lucky. And lastly, a personal favorite. I have no doubt, Elizabeth is going to receive countless comments (both sweet and maybe less sweet) related to the idea that she’s got her hands full. And it couldn’t be more true – these two are sure to keep both her and Dave plenty busy. But there’s a double blessing in those hands, and she’s embracing it with all the joy that calls for. This season looks so good on you guys – I cannot wait to watch all the fun to come!
